Just a small thing made possible by of all of the men and women who fought and died for our country.
Yes to watermelon and slip n slides and whatever kids do these days on long weekends but also to taking a moment to remember what it is that our men and women in uniform fought, and continue to fight, for.
It’s the right to free speech, it’s having a free press, and it’s citizens not being gunned down by the people who are supposed to be protecting them. It’s freedom of religion, separation between church and state, freedom for a person to make decisions about their own body, and freedom to marry who one chooses. It’s a community of people who welcome new ideas and new people with open arms, and believe that constitutional rights should be extended to all of them. And so much more.
America, I love you and I’m fighting for you.
